These drawings were made with oil paint by Zdzislaw Beksinki, a poorly known Polish painter. In his earlier work (Pictures 1-3) he painted deformed models and couples during sex acts. Since Poland, during the 80’s, was occupied by communism only a few people could see his work.
A few years later he started painting dark, mysterious images with dead bodies and visions of hell. He took inspiration from his nightmares and often woke up in the middle of the night and began to paint.
People talked about a curse on his family; his wife died young due to illness, his son commited suicide and he himself was found in his appartment with 17 stab wounds from a knife.
All of his work was named “no title”. Beksinski hated his own paintings.
